Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Battleforged Online, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the game. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the game after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Alpha Status

Battleforged Online is currently in Alpha. The game is provided as-is and may be unstable, incomplete, or subject to significant changes at any time. Features may be added, modified, or removed without notice. We make no guarantees about uptime, data persistence, or continued availability.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Each person may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a ban or suspension is prohibited and will result in permanent removal.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players
• Use offensive, hateful, or discriminatory language in chat or usernames
• Attempt to cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate game systems in unintended ways
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to interact with the game
• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the game

5. Enforcement and Bans

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for violations of these terms or any behavior we determine to be harmful to other players or the game. Bans are enforced per account. Returning to the game after a permanent ban — including by creating a new account — constitutes unauthorized access to our systems.

6. User Content

Any content you submit through the game (including chat messages and usernames) must comply with these terms. You retain ownership of your content, but by submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive license to store and display it as part of operating the game. We reserve the right to remove any content at any time.

7. Intellectual Property

All game code, artwork, design, and content is the property of the developer. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from any part of the game without explicit written permission.

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time via the Settings page. Deletion permanently removes your personal data from our systems. Some anonymized game data (such as completed match records) may be retained.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The game is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the game will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your expectations. Your use of the game is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of Battleforged Online shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the game, including loss of data or game progress.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the jurisdiction where the developer is located.
